Nevin No Teeth Jam
As I mentioned the other day, my pal Collin smashed his face up two weekends ago. He managed to mess his teeth up, and I’ll tell you one thing, dentists are not cheap. And Medicare and private health don’t help you out when you smash teeth out – I know from experience.
I got so much love for Collin. Photo: Mike Moore
First up, props to Simeon and Mark for organizing the jam. They were running around all day heckling cats to donate, stoking the barbeque, and I guess just making the event fun. Without their enthusiasm and effort, I don’t think we would have raised as much coin as we did.

Along with Stowaway and Little Black Bike, we donated a bunch of product that got raffled off, and all-in-all the crew raised $750 to go towards Collin’s medical bills (which are somewhere between the $4-$6k mark). Jamie at Stowaway was rad enough to donate Collin a new United 40 frame, cause his looked like a banana after the crash.

Thanks to everyone that came out, donated some cash and had fun on their bike. And thanks to Little Black Bike and Stowaway for getting on board aswell.
The BMX family is strong in Adelaide.
Nevin No Teeth Jam
Tomorrrow there is a jam at Pooraka skatepark that we’re supporting. Basically our pal Collin Nevin wrecked himself a couple of weeks ago, headfirst-ed the pavement, pushed a bunch of teeth back and lost a tooth. Real bad times, and expensive dental bills. No flyer but here is some info from my boy Simeon.
Sausage sizzle and crazy raffle jump comp will be but a few of the xtreme attractions to look forward to. Prizes for best trick, biggest fly out you name it we got prizes for it.
COLLIN NEVIN is looking at about 6 grand to fix his pearly whites cause during a daring stunt he MASHED HIS FACE into the hard cold concrete floor AND BENT HIS FRAME so put ya filthy hands in ya tight assssss jean pockets and help out a brother in need .
If anyone has any ghetto ramps/rails/subs anything we can get creative with and keen to help out or knows someone that can PM myself or simeon…
So forward the shit out of this we need to raise as much as possible for COLLINS TEETH so help an awesome dude out, bring your friend and ride some BICYCLE MOTOCROSS..
SUNDAY JULY 31st POORAKA SKATE PARK 1pm TILL LATE
We’re hooking up some product to be raffled out, so yeah go along, buy some tickets, help old mate Collin with his dental bills.
Oh and if you’re wondering how he crashed…

BYO Jam
Because of some family shit which meant I jumped on the first plane out of Adelaide on Friday morning, I couldn’t make it to the jam that we ran in conjunction with Adelaide’s best bike shop, Little Black Bike. Despite the threat of rain, the jam went ahead, and from all reports it went really well.
Our boy Mikey McMah shot a few photos, I was pumped on them so here they are. Rawwwwww.

I’m sure more photos will surface over the coming days so stay tuned. And props to Mikey McMah!
Jayden Warn Jam / Warragul
I got an email earlier this week from Pat Freyne, basically letting me know that some crew up in Warragul (Victoria) are having a jam this weekend. Basically their mate had a bit of a car crash, and he got banged up pretty bad. Not only is he injured pretty bad, his bike got fucked up in the process.
We are supporting this jam with a little bit of product, if you’re in the area get down there, have a roll and donate some cash. Help out a brother in need!
I should also mention that we support a lot of jams, but I don’t really do much to promote them on here. That’s pretty lazy of me, and in the future I’ll try and post more about what we’re supporting. Also, if you are holding a jam or whatever, holla at us. We are always keen to support that shit!
BYO Jam
Matt from Little Black Bike and me have been talking about doing a jam for months now… it seems like forever since we held the Dude Man Jam… that was back in April 2010, I think?
We’re going to have this one at Goodwood Skatepark / Plaza. If you haven’t been there before, Goodwood is a kinda fun skate plaza… but it’s missing a little something… so to spice things up we’re going to bring a bunch of ledges, rails, kickers and I think there’s a quarter pipe in there for good measure.
It’s in a couple of weeks time, so make sure you’ve got Saturday June 18 free. Should be a really fun afternoon.
Here’s the flyer:
Supported by Little Black Bike and Dishonour. Word!
BMX for Floods @ City Dirt
Unless you’ve been hanging out under a rock for the last few months, you’d be at least somewhat aware that a bunch of jams were held all around Australia yesterday to help out crew affected by the floods in January. Our home is Adelaide, so naturally we supported the jam being held at Adelaide City Dirt. Having said that, the jam would not have gone ahead without the time and work put in by the Stowaway and Little Black Bike dudes. Respect!
So anyway, I spent most of the day floating around with my camera. Here are a bunch of photos I shot. More will likely appear in The Photobook Project and hopefully the jam gets covered in a mag or two, too.
SA Veteran Craig Bennet and mohawk aficionado shredding nice and early in the day:
All terrain killer Wolfman with a wild turndown. This kid has got skills, watch out!
Danny Drazetic lurking around. Watch out, he is coming up.
Ryan Lloyd is stupid. More on that in a few moments.
Ryan again, this time with Haydn Banks, Stowaway storeman.
And Ryan again, flying solo.
Ernie is a pal from way back, he can do much more than shralp a berm but I dig this photo.
Jack, South Australia’s second best BMX sales dude got steeze.
This is SA’s best BMX sales dude in BMX. We love Little Black Bike and we love Matt Hodgson.
The crowd late in the day. Heaps of crew! Thanks for coming out!
3rd prize was about $500 worth of Dishonour gear, we didn’t catch this kid’s name but he was pretty stoked on winning!
And this dude won the S&M Dirtbike replica, I think everyone was slightly envious. Dope bike, dope prize. Thanks to Stowaway for that!

BMX for Floods update
Just a quick update to let everyone know that the jam tomorrow is ON. It was looking a little shady because of some heavy rain yesterday, but today has been nice and sunny and some dedicated crew have been out making sure everythings gonna be good.
See you at City Dirt tomorrow, 12pm onwards!
BMX for floods
When Shaun Jarvis from Freestyle Now flicked an email round a few weeks back, asking for supporters for a nationwide jam he wanted to organise, we were real keen to get behind it and help out our homies affected by the floods that pretty much swept the east coast.
So yeah – we are supporting the events in SA (at City Dirt in Adelaide) and the NT (at Rapid Creek Skatepark). I’m not sure what the deal is in Darwin, but in Adelaide a bunch of S&M, United and Dishonour gear will raffled off. Thanks to Jay and the boys at Stowaway for hooking up the S&M and United stuff up!
Come out, have a ride, and buy a few tickets in the raffles to raise some dollars. Yeah!
