A couple of months back, Brad had a crash on his backyard setup and mashed his teeth. Not stoked. To help fund some new teeth, everyone’s pal Gus held a jam to raise some cash. We donated some cash, beer and product to raffle, and drank some beer and had a good time.
It’s about that time.
Got some new gear dropping this evening. New Cali shades, and some Clique Chino Shorts.
I guess we’ll talk about shorts first. I’m pretty stoked really, because it’s our first foray into the shorts game. I’ve always been a bit hesitant, but took our time to get them right.
As far as material spec goes – they are very, very similar to our Clique Slim chinos from last year. Except, they’re shorts. Cut is designed so they sit on or just above the knee. And they’ve got the detail you’d expect in something from Dishonour; our hand scrawled logo is featured on the button, woven labels, and a d tag hangs from the rear left pocket.
Available in bone or dark chocolate, and priced at $65 each. Or $120 for a couple of pairs. They’re on the online store now – and will be in our stockists later this week.
Now the second part to this month’s drop is a couple of pairs of Cali shades. While we’ve made some improvements to the manufacturing techniques used in previous years, they are very much the same shades that you’ve all known and loved.
Two new colourways are available for 2013 – matte black frames with purple haze (blue/purple) lenses, and translucent charcoal frames with chrome lenses.
Both have got die-case Dishonour hand scrawled logos on the temples.
They’re priced at $50 each, or $90 for both pairs. Available now via the online store, later in the week at our stockists.
My dude Alex has been battling a bunch of little niggling injuries over the last few months, so riding kinda took a back seat to filming stuff. Anyway, he’s back on the bike as of yesterday, and filmed this little doubles edit with his buddy Tim. Solid lines.
I’ve known Jack for a bit now, he’s a good dude. He can also shred bikes real good. We’d planned on a more elaborate welcome edit, but you know. Check the latest 2020 for our latest print ad welcoming JK to Dishonour.
Welcome homie!
Brodie Butterfield has been busy organising the 2013 Blake Butterfield Memorial Jam, and we’re proud to be standing behind it for the third year running. Well we’ve been supporting it since day one.
Since 2010, Brodie has run the jam to celebrate and commemorate his younger brother, Blake, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. Blake was a little shredder on a bike, so it made a lot of sense to hold a jam in his honor.
And once again, the jam will be supporting Westmead Children’s hospital in Sydney.
Here’s to a good cause. If you can get out to Kempsey, be there. We’ve donated a bunch of gear, and some rad crew are trekking out there. Should be an awesome day.
Rhys has had a shred boner lately. Footlash at a new Adelaide spot…
And shralpin’ a pool we got introduced to on the weekend.
And thanks to Dave Rubers for shootin that first flick, he’s had a photo boner lately. Check his blog. So much good shit. I think the second one was GoPro footage, maybe.
Couple of pool riding shots of Mikey poached from 2020′s Pool article overflow that Rubers shot for the mag a little while back.
And the cover that Mikey snagged, along with our pal Josh K taking the low line.
What, 4 days late. Sorry. Been busy. Always busy!
Just a quick note to say Happy New Year to everyone. Thanks to all the cats that have supported the brand over the last year, it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
We’re going to keep pushing forward in 2013, like we’ve done every year since 2006. Stay tuned.
Much love, ride more!
