Digital: Tenna on TCU
I’m super stoked to announce our first ad on The Come Up. Went up mid-yesterday afternoon.
There are two ads, one’s just a general branding ad that isn’t much to talk about. But the second one is of my homie Tenna. Ten Ten was the first dude we hooked up, so it’s kinda symbolic that he’s scored both our first legit print ad a few years ago and now our first legit digital ad.
Gnar back pedal crooks:
Much love brother. Here’s to another four or five years or however long it’s been.
Easter Ads
Over Easter we ran a little 20% off sale, with a bunch of ads. I only posted the first one on here, but the rest got run on Facebook, Twitter, and our Instagram (@dishonourbrand).
But yeah, all the photos revolved around having fun or whatever, and I thought it’d be cool to post the photos on their own with an explanation of what’s going on.
AD ONE
If I remember correctly, it was super hot this day and we’d just been messing around in a ditch that had some sweet banks and a cool fence gap. This rail setup was just around the corner, and Sam was just kinda being a dick. He was trying to ruin the photo, I think, but in the end he made it.
In the background you can see Rhys, I can’t remember if it was before or after, but he nutted himself real good on this rail. Actually, more on Rhys nutting himself a few ads down.
AD TWO
This got shot right after Dullah did that Pegs-Easy-Fakie Bars a few months ago for the Cali 2012 drop. I got no idea what Mikey’s lookin at. And I’m just standing around with long ass hair, all stoked about the sequence.
Random fact: I think this is the only shot out of these ads that I didn’t take. Tave shot it on the second camera.
AD THREE
This was the first photo that actually got shot Easter Weekend, 2012. We were heading out to this bowl that is close down, but resides inside a swimming center. The only days the place is shut is Good Friday and Christmas Day, so we went down to see what it was all about.
Turned out to be windy as fuck, the flat rail we found was the opposite of slippery, and the school we went to for a rail hop had been knocked down. I wouldn’t call it a wasted drive to the ghetto but it was pretty close to being one.
AD FOUR
Actually I retract my comment about it being a wasted drive. This photo got shot right at the end of the day, and it makes me laugh every time I see it. These rails have pretty much been shut down, the only stuff that’s left (I think) are tricks/spins in, or out. And nobody’s managed to go up them yet, cause they’re tall and steep. It’s not impossible, you just need to go super fast.
Rhys thought it’d be a sweet idea to set up some benches before the rail and give himself a handicap to go up them. Didn’t quite work out.
I think what happened is Rhys’ front tyre got stuck in the grooves of the bench, he anti hopped, and nutted himself. Once again.
AD FIVE
The other day Dullah and I were clipping up for his upcoming park edit. Sah sah cute.
In Dullah related news, he went on a trip to Melbourne with the FIT Australia crew. Word on the street is shit got done.
AD SIX
I think this got shot a few months back, it was a super, super, super hot day and we were hiding out in a carpark watching Sam or Rhys knock out a pegs to over. Kinda long story, that. Rhys tried it, kinda gave up cause it wasn’t his day, then a week later Sam tried it, broke his bike, and then did it on Tave’s bike. I don’t think Rhys has ever forgiven him.
So yeah, that’s it. Hope you took something out of my ramblings. And hope you had a rad Easter break too!
Print: Will Gunn / 2020 #43 Ad
Will‘s a rad dude, one hell of a rider, and he’s got our latest print ad. Hop up onto that tall, narrow ass ledge to one hell of a drop.
And much love to Raine Turnbull for the photo.
Print Ad: Alex
When I made the post about Alex scoring a bunch of Colony coverage and a print ad, I forgot all about his ad with us in the latest 2020. Been too busy, too much on my mind. Anyway, here’s Alex’s first Dishonour print ad:
Brock ad
Props to Brock for scoring an ad in the latest ride, via his bike hookup Colony.
